Alex Loskutov Instruments : Violins

ANDREA AMATI MODEL

One of the decorated instruments made for the French Court, this harmoniously designed violin is marked by great elegance and awareness of geometrical principles in design. Excellent for Baroque music and yet carries power enough to fulfill the needs of contemporary halls.

ANTONIO STRADIVARI MODEL

Included in the Medici Court Violin Collection, this incredible instrument was made for the 1690 Quintet. This violin remains what it always was: an outstanding and seldom-used example of Stradivari’s best years. Tonal quality of this model is sonorously rich, having remarkable penetrating force as well as a softer “singing” timbre.

GUARNERI DEL GESU MODEL

Based on the instrument used by Niccolò Paganini known as “The Cannon”, this violin not only projects but fills the hall with its powerful sound. It ranks as Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu’s greatest masterpiece, and is excellent for solo performance.

VIOLIN ANTONIO STRADIVARI “EMPEROR”

A significant example of Stradivari’s Golden Age Era of instruments, this violin has a warm, full sound that is beautiful in both chamber and solo performances.
